National Volunteer Week to be observed

April 27, 2008

National Volunteers Week, April 27 - May 3, provides the opportunity for many to thank the volunteers who donate their time and energy to serve others.

Currently, over 200 adult and teen volunteers have donated their time and energy to serve the youth of Belmont County through the 4-H program. There are many ways these individuals serve the 4-H program; as a club advisor, committee volunteer, project advisor, Cloverbud advisor, short term or special emphasis volunteer and teen volunteer.  The years of service for our 4-H volunteers range from one year to 49 years.

The most valuable asset to the 4-H program is the volunteers who spend numerous hours throughout the year sharing their talents with our youth. The helping hands of volunteers make it much easier to provide more educational programs and opportunities to 4-H youth.
